Health Links is a telehealth service operated by the Manitoba Provincial Health Contact Centre. Health Links allows you to speak with a registered nurse at any time who can answer your medical questions, provide medical advice, and refer you to the right health services for your needs.
When you call the Health Links Manitoba number, you will speak with a Registered Nurse. You will have the opportunity to describe your symptoms, whether they are signs of the common cold or more serious issues. You will then be advised on whether to self-care, seek emergency medical services, or visit a walk-in clinic or your family physician. If you are told to care for your symptoms at home, you will be given guidance on how to do so and what resources you can access to assist.
Health Links also offers an online COVID-19 screening tool that will help you determine whether you should be tested for an infection based on exposure or symptoms. You can also access support for breastfeeding, West Nile virus, rabies, and influenza by calling the Health Links number.
